Back in the day, /xivg/ used to primarily hang out at a bench in Balmung Ul'dah. In late 2021, the game had blown up in popularity, and so did Balmung, which was actually open and even had preferred for months in 2021 (the WoW Exodus+Asmongold was concentrated on Aether).
Some xivgers kept being sexpested while hanging out in Ul'dah, a problem that was starting to bother various players and especially ebins, who were targeted more often by both xivgers and randoms. This led to various femras from the Sunning Rock LS leaving Ul'dah to afk at the Doman Enclave. It was just these femras at first, but due to word of mouth, more xivgers went there as well. This led to a ton of drama for a couple of months, but eventually people went back to the bench.

Then the DC travel floodgates were opened. Balmung Ul'dah became a sex tourism hellhole at the peak of the game's popularity. The desire to migrate to a different spot became stronger than ever before, and a lot of xivgers went back to the Enclave for refuge, and it eventually became the new "official" xivg spot.
Some ebins never got over this fact, accusing the move of being forced by ebins due to their "threadcred". Macchi was the biggest hater and primary voice against the move. His schizoing and bitterness over this only grew with time, as some of the femras involved (Korkana in particular) were largely responsible for the accusations that he was a pedo and the P1S meltdown he had.

One detail I almost forgot to mention: Izumi Satou, old ebin who created the Sunning Rock, got doxxed in the thread. Some accused jealous femras of being behind it, others accused the very sexpests (like Vanta Black) that made these femras want to leave the bench in the first place. Nobody knows for sure who did it, though.
