you need 5 ssr at limit break 3 to progress your character level. they can be any character but it's mandatory. not as bad as it sounds with standard banner pity and etc.
other than that it's only about 2% stats per copy and expanded bond levels up to 30 at lb2 (most characters) or 40 at lb3 (pilgrims)
