Just a casual reminder that the DTCC has a ledger of how many shares are in the system and who owns them and where they are located. Right now they can use a high school level database query to check if the total shares circulating is GREATER THAN the shares issued + legal short interest. Even bernie madoff said if they just checked the DTCC's ledgers they would have caught him decades earlier, but the DTCC has always been a compromised entity to facilitate wealth extraction from the people.
