there was a thread on nvidia cards struggling with the game, applied everything there, didn't help
it doesn't run everything flawlessly, but it doesn't essentially choke 24/7 on other applications

what makes me most upset about this is that on occasion i'll have a "window" of performance even without tugging the slider, i checked if i can bump up the graphics during that and it worked like a charm even on mid ones
until it doesn't and it goes back to chugging, whatever is happening that causes this is absolutely part of the game
and it stops either at random or whenever i move that damned slider around, making it extra frustrating
