I don't feel that it is inherent, but unavoidable. When a soldier becomes part of a system that denies them agency, the act of one soldier killing another does not feel like it stems from malice, but from duty. The problem is that this ‘duty’ is distorted by the corruption and degeneration of political bulshittery beyond their control.
