Man. Autumn. The weather is nice; not too cold or hot, the sunsets are wonderful and the nights dark and moody. All the seasonal crops, fruits, berries and mushrooms ripen then, the trees and plants undergo a final festive metamorphosis of colour before shedding their leaves before winter. Most of the mosquitoes, ticks and bloodsucking gnats are long dead while it's open season to hunt and fish many animals. It also tends to rain a lot during the night which helps me sleep, and towards the end of fall the evenings get very misty and foggy making for lovely walks outside, whereas the mornings are crispy clear and chill.

I couldn't imagine living somewhere without autumn.
