I think that's pretty normal. Like another anon in this thread, I'm old as shit, but I'm 34. I used to play Pocket Fighter's PS1 port with a friend of mine after school back in the day all the time, and I didn't learn about Red Earth until about 2003 or 2004, when I got much more into MUGEN and arcade emulation, though CPS3 emulation was a massive crapshoot back then and I don't think it was even playable at the time. I'm pretty sure Tessa was the first fictional crush I ever had. She's also cracked as fuck in Red Earth itself and is one of the better non-boss characters in SVC Chaos, if you ever feel like putting up with that game. It's a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine.
