Yeah, that was the initial inspiration I had for my scenario, which still throws in a bit of eldritch horror for good measure but is at least thematically about kegare made harmful phenomenon. Being in the presence of and thinking about the infection would contribute to that growing pool of Doom. Again, Noroi and Incantation (as well as Impossible Landscapes) were probably the biggest inspirations floating around while I was doing notes.
