If you get involved you get to talk to people, this is also a lesson i learned in life.

They push out devices with broken drivers and barely any support or testing.
They push out BIOS updates automatically that clears the TPM and wipes the bitlocker key(this actually happens with new devices normal people buy, it actually bricks their new laptops)
If you have an AMD APU laptop the OEM provides an automated install of an ancient AMD driver that barely works, you need to actually know to install the driver directly from AMD.(Fuck you HP Support, I told you what the problem was you never fixed it)
TDP controls(which the OEM is responsible for) are so terrible that you get more battery life running the device on linux(also the reason the Legion Go S has better performance and battery life on SteamOS)

Good things destroyed by OEMs:
> The launch of Vista(actually run well if you had proper hardware, windows 7 was effectively a re-release but they waited for OEMs to catch up.)
> Prebuilt PCs
> launch of Windows 10(many still provided laptops with HDDs, which was unacceptable for Windows Defender)
