That's a topic of contention. I usually smoke before eating but it's hours before because I don't eat in the morning. I smoke all day and eating doesn't really enter in. I know some people who insist on eating first so they don't have food distractions while high. While a lot of people use it as an appetite stimulant, for me it suppresses hunger.
