>finite resources of the earth
nothing is getting used up except an extremely tiny amount of entropy which is increased on a universal scale by all living things as a side-effect of the energy they receive from the sun.
it's also completely infinitesimal. in a single femtosecond, the sun increases the entropy of the universe about the same as the entire entropic increase caused by the whole earth (not just the biosphere, but also the core, atmosphere and geology) from the beginning of its inception to right now.

it literally doesn't matter. it's like "wasting food". that's not a real thing, it just gets recycled by the unfathomably complex, highly adaptable thing we call the biosphere. humans couldn't permanently destroy biomass without literally launching it into space where it can't get recycled and reclaimed. even if we threw it into the core of the earth, eventually the mantle would spit those atoms back up, and some lithoautotroph would introduce it back into the food chain.

this is as big of a midwit take as anything else that retarded pekka has posted. he's not connected to nature, he's just a retard larping on the internet.

plants are sentient btw.
