I don't know about the sets, but the show was epic on the scale of the first The Lego Movie, where it's so much deeper than you think it is.
--they figured out a way to let Mark Hamill vent -in character, as Luke Skywalker- about how they F'd him up. ("they did THAT to me? and you want me to help fix it? no way!!!")
--it "explained" fleshies vs yellow minifigs
--they poked at chrome naboo ship (the important ship Lego has never done due to silver chrome)
I could gush about tons more. Darth Jar Jar aside, they had Darth freaking Rose, too!
and the whole thing ends with a whoopsie there's no way back, just make Star Wars whatever you want... that's all folks!
AND it was produced BY DISNEY! cartoon or not, "fake" "non-canon" "doesn't count" whatever. they made it. mind blowing.
and since you asked I guess the sets are alright. they seem like fan fiction nonsense, but that's the point
