The problem with Natlan is that it Fontaine happened. Whoever wrote Fontaine's AQ and SQs fucked up bigly. Huge bigly. A gacha is supposed to be a vehicle to sell cute and entertaining characters, but the writers for Fontaine accidentally wrote a methodical and literary plotline that pissed off real gacha gamers and raised expectations for Natlan's story WAY TOO FUCKING HIGH because now everyone expects a gacha anime game to keep up a constant literary plot instead of (GASP) selling characters.
