I skip H-scenes, but h-scenes are important because visual novels should include adult themes, and by having adult scenes, the VN permisses adult themes. A VN without adult scenes has to dance around pg13 requirements to handle adult themes. I'd rather read a VN where adult themes aren't danced around.
