I may have forgot to say more about combat, but generally I was going off from vague memory. The only thing I knew for sure was the midi tune, so I believed I did not made up that game in my mind.

And just recently, years later I stumbled upon the actual thing by change. The game is called 蒼神錄 or Legend of Ancient and it is in fact split into multiple parts. First is pure backstory with one scripted fight and in second I can control the fight.
