they can get the exact coordinates of the carrier to launch but the carrier is constantly moving and manuevering and blasting out an insane amount of EW. its not a simple task to hit that.
You also have 4-5 destroyers per carrier which have SM-3 missiles that can take them out in space and then SM-6 that can take them out in terminal approach. Even tel aviv didn't have nearly this many missiles available. Also the carrier isn't in the persian gulf so could be hundreds of kilometers from iran which would limit the amount of weapons iran could engage it with.
A carrier in the persian gulf- yes id say it could get overwhelmed, but they aren't going into the persian gulf for good reason. the straight of hormuz would be an awful idea, also because iran has hundreds of small suicide boats. But with where they are they'll have aircraft taking out most of the cruise missiles/drones before ships even need to engage.
