Past wars in the Middle East did not collapse the USA like it did when Russians also failed in Afghanistan, thus no more USSR.
USA achieved some success, in countless eliminated terrorists and no more Bin Laden or ISIS, Al-Qaeda and NO CALIPHATE.
Also, not long ago Russia pulled out of Syria, another failed intervention.
