The discussion was about if Valve can resist these bullshit policies. And the answer was YES, because they're not going to mess with trillion of dollars from rich corporations, we're talking big guys like Microsoft, Rockstar, CD Project. They would get cracked down IMMEDIATLY.
So, can Valve resist this and stop bending the knee and fucking the user (You)? Yes, they can. Because the payment processors can't go against them without exposing themselves to be sued and regulated by the government, both in America and the EU. Not to mention collective demands by indie developers and users.
