I get it. When you're hurting, when everything feels pointless, it’s easier to laugh at meaning than to risk believing in it. But tearing things down doesn’t make the pain go away. It just makes sure no one else dares to build.
You can call it “gay,” cringe, naïve—whatever. But choosing to believe that things can get better, that life can be more than suffering, takes guts. It’s not weakness. It’s rebellion in a world that profits off despair.
You don’t have to believe what I believe. But don’t mistake bitterness for wisdom, or cynicism for strength. That axe won’t fix what’s broken. But maybe—just maybe—hope might.
