This is full of issues. Why would the sprite be the same both times? Why is it a slashing arc coming from Kris' side of things instead of the Knight's? Was them pulling a full on HYPER GONER not them being serious either? Why would Ralsei specifically use the "forced smile" expression and ask "How could you" from the Knight attacking them like it had been doing this whole time?
It all makes way more sense when we assume Kris did it. It's Kris betraying Susie in that instance to stop her from keeping up this fight since both Kris and Ralsei know this fight is meant to be lost. Ralsei is shocked Kris would do this, hence his response. But afterwards he accepts it and doesn't say anything again because he accepts any choice Kris makes.
Also, this explains why Toriel only has a nightmare when this happens. She sleeps peacefully if the Knight beats our ass as normal, but she has a nightmare when Kris chooses the Knight over Susie because she can feel Kris did something bad.
Susie even has a line at the start of Chapter 4 reinforcing this:

>* She's probably got a sixth sense for you doing something wrong.

Yep, neither does the second hit, which comes from the same direction.
