If you actually have a brain and are interested go read up on Khorasan province and the regional ISIS efforts there that clash with Russia's interests in Central Asia. It's one of many awkward pressure points Russia can't afford to worry about so they'd rather just say it's Ukraine because then they are actually doing something about it right?
