Technically yes, the Polish Corridor and occupation of Danzig and the splitting of German land, was tantamount to an invasion. Britain's pledge of military support to an aggressive Poland started WW2 and Britain pro actively escalated the war for its duration despite Nazi Germany not wanting further escalation.
Britain squandered its empire, and in the end was stabbed in the back by the USA when the USA backed the anti-British Jewish terrorists in the Palestine mandate.

By the end of the war, Britain was being blocked from carpet bombing Jews in their Palestine Mandate by the USA, who now assumed the role of the British empire.

This is why British people are so cynical about the subject of WW2.
