What it is, why it is, how you prefer to do it, etc. Treat it like an info session, and answer any/all questions she might have. Elaborate once the basics are down.
Only mistake is not telling her sooner, but telling her now is better than waiting another year. I told my GF after about 2 months and she took it well. But she definitely wouldn't take it well if you try to hide it and wait 5/10 years.
