"I'm Damn Proud Of It And The Team"
Following Bloomberg's report on The Veilguard, former level design supervisor Brian J. Audette took to Bluesky to share their thoughts on everything it revealed. Audette's response actually happened some time ago, but it's resurfaced thanks to a recent post on the Dragon Age subreddit from Redditor AversionIncarnate.

In his reply, Audette said that he refutes the claims that BioWare made a "bad or compromised game" and that the team actually made the "best version of what we released, warts and all". Audette also stated that he's proud of what the team put together, and that they couldn't have "made a better Dragon Age", only a different one.

"I refute that we made a bad or compromised game. We made the best version of what we released, warts and all."
— Brian J. Audette

Alongside that, Audette also pointed out that The Veilguard is still the best-reviewed game that he's worked on in his 25-year career. Despite Audette's claims, the Dragon Age subreddit seems pretty mixed on his viewpoints, noting that level design was one of the many issues in The Veilguard and that it was still a disappointment overall.
