Gunrun making them sign NDAs so they couldn't defend themselves + the Silvervale Mouse thing + the Vei retard drama (and the past drama with Shylily and Hololive) made it pretty easy for VShojo to twist the narrative against them both for viewers and for other vtubers. Nyan, Vei, and Silver also rarely collabed with other vtubers and were pretty isolated so they didn't really have a lot of popular indie vtuber friends to defend them. VShojo saw how easily they could make them look like mean girls, and it worked for the most part.
