I played it once several years ago and can't see myself ever bothering to replay it.
The settlements sucked and the base game settlement building was such a pointless chore. Way too much focus on it as well for such little gain. What sucked the most was the settlements were nothing but a bunch of destroyed houses and buildings, but you couldn't actually fix up the houses or buildings at all just slap a bunch of scrap metal on top of them, it's so dumb. You're telling me I can't like create a lumbar yard and just create entirely new structures for my settlers? No, all I can do is place some shitty rusted beds and corrugated metal bits inside these dilapidated partially demolished buildings so people can feel like they're living in squalor and filth.
The story sucked.
The world was bland.
The quests were pretty uninteresting and forgettable.
The DLC was marginally better than the base game.
The factions are pretty terrible too. The minuteman questline in particular was such a waste of time. The worst settlement to build was the fort because it had so much space but you were so limited with what you could place inside it making fixing it up such a waste of time.
