Look, LeverWrench, no offense, I understand your feeling and ambition but this art pack's DOA. Nobody knows who you are so that's going to be hard to trust you with donations, and starting with a fursuit as the OP image? Instant fumble. And lot of things we haven't decided in common like who will receive donations, are they trustworthly, etc.
Texas isn't some third-world sob story, it's loaded, with insurance up the ass for drowned SUVs are insured to the hilt. You expect /mlp/ to crank out art for rich folks when we're not doing charity packs for Californians whining about their burned Malibu villas or Florida yuppies with their hurricane-trashed condos? Nah, anon's not buying it.
Yes it's awful, yes you care, I salute that, I'm not indifferent but they will make it.
Why's /mlp/ gotta play hero for a state that'll bounce back before we even finish the pack?
Climate changes, this change is happening fast this is a fact, we can see it, and we will have to cope with it. We may not even be responsible of what is happening, even worse, to believe we can control what is happening. More events will occur in the future, but if after a flood, people rebuild their home on the same place, they will not change a thing and they will be flooded, again. That's logic. I don't want to build a house nearby a volcano, because I know lava is bad. And I know that one day the volcano will erupt again, and this is bad.
There's a lot of non-Americans on this board scratching their heads too. Why should we, scraping by in countries the US could buy twice over, care about Texas? I'm not American, I don't see USAID here. Perhaps instead of throwing the money to Israel or Ukraine, Trump would focus on Texas and bam, solved. Yes that's what he's doing, or what he's supposed to do.
Myself I'm broke as shit, scraping by after losing my job, and a nearby town got torched, small businesses gone, families displaced, three dead.
No one's rushing to make us an art pack. Floods, fires, earthquakes, snow, storm, crickets you name it, everywhere got problems, and we don't see you pitching “Aid for [insert random country].” Ponyfags aren't FEMA. We're here for mares and comfyness, not to save the world.
You're from Texas, cool, we get it. But this smells like Reddit-tier virtue signaling, and the board's not buying it. Stick to Nurse Redheart and changeling art and drop the savior complex. Or at least pick a better OP pic next time, and a better fight. You want to be useful? Become a volunteer and go help people in need in your neighborhood. All of you, you should do this, instead of spending time and money in drawings. If there's a child that needs ot be cheered up, if she lost her toys, draw her some art and give it to her, that's the real message. Americans have money, don't worry about that.
