You help Tanis up and lead her out of the ring, telling her, “You fought well. Nice work.”
“Thank you…” she replies humbly, fairly drained from the fight. As you leave the ring though, you feel a bit of a breeze start to pick up, the still warm air flowing around you all. A spectral head pokes out of the ground for a moment near Baba, who gives a nod, with a ghostly hand poking out next and giving a thumb’s up.
Finally, the ghostly form of Phantasma floats up from the arena floor, laughing eerily. “Hahahahaha… so you’ve made it through three of us so far, but your next match might be the most frightful yet!~ Ehahaha!~ Who will be the next challenger?” The winds start to pick up, swirling around her as she floats there, chuckling.
Izzy walks forward casually, with her hand raised up. You high-five your cousin, then think to ask Tanis, “Have you considered trying to mix in some Wind Magic with your stuff too? That blazing sandstorm is already a pretty solid combo, throwing in just that little bit more would help a lot.”
“I’ve tried it before, but it’s hard to harmonize it properly…” she admits. “Just conjuring that much sand for the sandstorm at a constant rate like that is pretty hard on its own, but I wanna try that some day.”
“Nice! Maybe you could start by trying to mix the elements first, then applying it to the sand.” …You think to check the makeup Cocoa did for you. Still… mostly good, okay. Didn’t get sandblasted off of you. …Also might need to worry about an actual sandblasting attack, that could get REALLY nasty. “How about those flaming wings? They’re pretty cool. I think Pantea has something like that, but not quite to the same level.”
“I was actually inspired by her. It’s the result of my attempt to add in more mobility and defense at the same time. She said something about the utility of some… ‘Wings of Light’ I believe she called it. It was hard to replicate the kind of power she was talking about through normal Ki, so I tried to supplement its effect with Magic.”
