My parents did not work their asses off to make a living in the United States just for their eldest son to go back to the country that refused to give them opportunities for a stable career lmao. Dad was studying to be a lawyer, his brothers are engineers and all swore to never return to the Philippines because of how corrupt everything is. But this was back in the 80s for them, probably nothing has changed. My nurse cousins tell me they have to buy their own equipment to work, putting them in debt while working.
