Those Ukrainians gave the Russian cadets some real war experience very fast, but the Russian considers it a valuable lesson that he can't study elsewhere. He said that the local Russian towns in Belgorod region were still populated, so the Russian forces couldn't call the artillery on the Ukrainian positions, meaning they had to go in and fight street by street.
