rudy will die and turn into dust. he will merge with an object and be revived in a dark world. his most treasured object is the angel doll, or the flowers from his illicit lover asgore. the bedside container for the flowers is to put him in in case he dies, so his dust doesn't get lost. this is what they do when someone is close to death, even for humans.
