They have been using two drones flying in tandem configuration lately to expand their reach, this is also how they attacked Yelabuga last week or so.
Basically, one drone tows another one with the engine shut off, after a certain distance they seperate and the second drone starts its engine to fly the rest of the way on its own.
Kinda like the mistelschlepp tactic Germany experimented with during WW2.
