Doubtless, he would've revised his entire battle strategy with this knowledge, and perhaps then he may not have come so close to death in the battle against the bastard of Bolton? Could it be that you consider your hold over the North more important than other considerations? And now that the King in the North has gone to treat with Daenerys Targaryen, you seek to consolidate your power in Winterfell? The Lord of the Vale is my late wife's son, so with the King in the North no longer in the North, who is the second most powerful person in the North, after you? This "trial" you've suddenly laid at my feet is a mummer's farce, but I'd be glad to dispel these lies upon the King's return - for only his judgment concerns me.
