look man, I'm going to level with you, a little photoshop skills goes a LOOONG way, and I'm of the opinion that for some things photoshop is not only necessary but faster than trying to inpaint diceroll your way to success.

The great thing is, you don't even have to be a great artist (I'm not), you just need to know a your way around photoshop a little bit (or gimp in my case).
