>He really dragged it out for effect.
Just like how I play 3D Zelda. In my head it's more hardcore than it actually is. Sadly I've found that the "Hero Modes" of the games aren't balanced well and just end up frustrating instead. In my replay of Ocarina of Time I did have a blast with a no-heart-containers run, so I only had one row of hearts from Heart Pieces by the time I got to the end. I also ignored the final Great Fairy upgrade and I actually failed 3 times without fooling around against Ganondorf's Phase 1.
I also ended up super loving Twilight Princess HD in Hero Mode. Actually stocking up on bottled milk and potions changes the sense of danger in the game, and gives more reason to use the Oocca inside dungeons, so save the location and go out to restock, which can be done without wasting that much time thanks to Midna's ass.
It just sucks I have to resort to pure autism to pretend Zelda is anything other than kid-friendly in the gameplay-department. I wish I enjoyed the combat-"feel" of Breath of the Wild more because I was so happy to see Nintendo actually make a 3D Zelda that isn't forgiving with how much damage you take, and how much preparation matters.
