Fate was fun and advanced for its time because of that. During that time most heroines had to be damsels in distress who were all pure, but the Fate heroines are warriors and have flaws. Sakura in particular was hated at the time because of how many flaws she got, but that struggle to overcome them is what makes the story beautiful and I'm glad more and more fans are seeing it now thanks to the HF adaptation.
