Summary of chapter 31:
-Alice continues to destroy floor tiles in order to make movement more difficult for their opponents
-Vivian uses equipment that turns part of the surface into ice, countering the MC's strategy
-A flashback is shown about Paula's past as she prepares to attack. She was captured by slavers in an attack which killed her parents.
-The merchant man intends to buy her, and Paula is shown to be initially suspicious of him due to his ugly looks.
-The merchant tells Paula to stop feeling sorry for herself as it is he who is the most unfortunate person in the world, not her.
-To the surprise of Paula, she is treated well, trained in seduction, assassination and dancing. Once she grows up, the merchant man tells her to go free and make use of her talents, and stop acting unhappy.
-Paula strangely feels offended by the merchant letting her go without being recognized as special. She decides to hang around the colosseum as a dancer in order to stay close to the merchant and eventually catch his eye.
-Paula, now fully grown up, is shown to meet the merchant prior to the fight, boasts about having become a high-value woman and abruptly asks him to have sex with her. She looks at Vivian in disdain and proclaims herself a better woman.
-The merchant tells Paula that he has no interest in a woman with "complexes" and rejects her advances, which frustrates her even further.
-Back to the fight, Paula then proclaims that she is the "best woman in the world" and tosses her daggers at the MC and Alice.
-Alice however counters the attack by using her skill to deflect the attack, something she had previously thought to be impossible due to the precise timing it requires.
-Having pulled it off successfully, Alice now says that she is the strongest in the world
