OHHH the pic is Sankeien Garden in Yokohama btw. Highly recommend. I think most tourists avoid bc you have to take a bus to get to the garden from the train station (very easy). Yokohama, the city, is more rich tourists but it’s significantly less crowded (not crowded at all) than other parts of Tokyo simply because it’s on the outskirts. You just gotta explore a bit and wander around. There are some cute hidden gems (or rather, things you can find with some basic research).

This pic is the like pier? next to Red Brick Warehouse in Yokohama. The warehouse has lots of touristy restaurants and shops desu but I find some lovely gifts for myself there. For instance, I bought myself two leather bags from Kissora because I loved that they’re made in Japan and they care about sustainability. Plus the employees were all knowledgeable and sweet.

Yokohama also has a bookstore called LOCAL BOOK STORE kita which has many shelves full of recommendations by like 70 different people who each owns a little shelf. I thought that was really cool. I wish I could read Japanese. lmao I went for the Librairie Lapin but had to embarrassedly leave the books because it’s cash only wtf…
