I've been to tierra del fuego, and you wouldn't believe how eerie the whole region is. A lot of it is just barren nothingness, like it was the end of the map and the devs were too lazy to code it. The rest is beautiful forest and glaciers.
I'm really surprised so many people on pol know about these niggas, I met some guy carving the masks and I think they're pretty cool (pic related).
I can't believe anyone with an ounce of humanity would genocide these, these masks are so odd and in such a faraway land that curiosity can only take over you.
One anecdote I remember from my trip is that apparently when making maps, the explorers asked the selknam "What's the name of this mountain" and they replied "mountain" in their language, and it's still called this to this date.
