The point is that /v/ was a videogame board back then, not a politics board, and you weren't expected to push for or against any particular form of politics, no one gave a fuck if you were conservative or liberal on here because it didn't matter when talking about video games.

I don't really give a shit if woke games exist because games that don't appeal to me existing has no impact on the enjoyment of games that do appeal to me. Instead of being angry about wokeshit and culturewar nonsense you should be angry that games are generally poorly made dogshit now, not that these dogshit games aren't pandering to the political views you prefer harder. This was literally the entire thing the feminist bloggers were writing about, that political views they deemed as bad were too common in games and they had to fight against it, they had to rally against developers spreading the wrong messages and making shit that they didn't find appealing.
