"Aw, what a cute bunny!" Liza remarks, as she pulls up a log.
Your eyes widen as you read it. The request is ancient, just like everything in this room, but the content may still be relevant. Rather than looking at the pink Digimon, you're drawn to the context behind it. The servitor that sent this request reported that a human was severely injured while attempting to escape Podding, and has experienced heavy data corruption. In response, it requests a 'Cutemon' in order to stabilize them prior to 'processing'.
The scanner reported that the Cutemon was found in the vicinity of a hospital, and that the use of EKG waveform data in the medical equipment attracted it. There's an attached photo of it standing next to a servitor in cooperation, and the case is marked: RESOLVED.
"Hey, I want this one."
You pluck the window away from Liza and stash it away in your inventory. You'll be keeping this log for yourself. This sounds like exactly what you were looking for. A Digimon that can fix up humans could solve your leg issue. You're almost enthusiastic enough to let go of the second implication in this log, but fortunately, good sense wins over. You reread it and take note of the oddity.
What the hell is processing? It's the first clue you've ever gotten regarding
the fate of podded individuals. It's barely a lead, but at least you know that SOMETHING takes place. Surely they're not just stored in stasis forever.
Your search is interrupted by something blasting through the doorway and into a wall.
"AAH!" Screams Elecmon.
A packet of data has been loaded into the partition. It looks like nothing more than raw information, similar to what was in the tubes. You watch as another dot is shot into the chamber. Then another, and another, and another. The room slowly but surely fills up with a deluge of scrap information, cutting down the already limited storage space.
"What are they doing...?" Bella asks.
"They're trying to lag us out!"
