I don't think anyone's going to die, specifically because it was a major Chrono Trigger plot point.
I also don't think anyone's going to get body swapped, because that's basically the entire Chrono Cross plot (along with time travel clones and multiverse dimensional fuckery)

I don't know what the tragedy will be, but it's going to be something more convoluted than a simple death. Perhaps a paradoxical situation from which an individual cannot escape because of contradictory rules or limitations, very catch-22 and mindfucky.
