Depends on the dog. You can usually give bigger breeds bones since they can digest things easier, but smaller ones can really get fucked up by bones. That's why most "bones" you see for dogs are just rawhide shaped into bones, but even with that being the safer option you can still find a ton of animal experts who will tell you that even rawhide is dangerous for dogs.
