In an ordinary World Cup - yeah WC games are pristine. Only 64 games and the only game that gets memed on is the bronze game.
2026 will have 104 games, and in the group stage 8/12 of the best third placed teams will go through to the knockout stage.
The groups will be horrendously boring for anyone that's not one of the worst teams in the tournament.
