Morocco is one of the few countries in the world that considers you a national citizen if at least one of your parents is Moroccan. And you can never, ever renounce your citizenship either. You don't necessarily need to have a physical passport, if they ever visit the country they will be considered citizens and all national laws apply to them as well.

There are by the way no perks to having citizenship either, it's literally just downsides and annoyances if you ever want to visit the country. Well, there is one perk I guess and that would you be are able to own property in the country whereas foreigners can't.
