One of the first things you have to realize is if you controlled power, the last thing you would do is put your actual name or face on it. You would do something like blame some other group, and give the impression that they are controlling everything, similar to the way our government’s democracy are structured.

This is the central truth of history.

Whether through monarchies, feudalism, colonial empires, industrial trusts, or modern global corporations, power has always flowed through narrow channels.

What’s changed is the language of control:
- Once, it was divine right.
- Then, it was nationalism.
- Now, it’s technocracy, sustainability, and "the greater good."


Picrel are good example of the symptoms. Let’s take a concept of idea and codify as a human intrinsic right, but then also co-opted to subvert an established process that may or may not have already had very good transparency and high trust from the public. Rinse repeat until the Overton window has shifted enough in your favor to move society in the direction you’d like. Stupid people will always co-op stupid ideas that benefit the ruling classes.
