Our usual schedule is Paid S-Rank>Free Character S/A-Rank>Paid S-Rank. Two patches of income is enough for the S-Rank and a little extra but not enough for their weapon. Sometimes we get two Paid S-Ranks in a row, usually on anniversary/half anniversary. This is often made up for by the standard banner letting you target someone, skipping someone and using a ticket much later, or buying the monthly pass and getting enough extra income from that.
