my personal opinion is to act as if you're paying off you're loan above 100% but instead take that extra money any put it somewhere safe just in case that way you can maintain payments through your rough time instead of being ahead on your loan until you're fucked into some kind of deferred payment plain with absurd interest
but hey thats just me
