What I meant by that was that from what we are shown Haruhi seems to be care a lot more about Nagato than she does about the other 2 considering how fiercely protective she gets over her 3 times, and this is bolstered even further if you believe the theory how the reason Nagato was able to take Haruhis powers whereas the anti-SoS brigade failed was because Haruhi subconsciously was able to sense that Nagato was deeply depressed and in need of an escapist fantasy, which is why she let her take her powers.

And I dont think those things balance themselves quite to equality, those conversation are pretty much the only things Koizumi ever does with a few exceptions, though they are numerous enough to at least make him simply not quite as important as Nagato but still important, but Mikuru is only ever tangentially useful only when a story involves time travel, and even then she is barely helpful in there and is constantly needing to resort to Nagato to deal with the problems at hand, and the future Mikuru being so relevant is part of the problem as she makes present Mikuru redundant in a lot of stories, most egregiously having her be absent from 2 of the 3 most climactic moments in the series, with the 3rd one being the end of Melancholy.

The picture I posted that shows the number of mentions each character gets throughout each story makes my point well, where the number of mentions over the course of the series Koizumi gets is far lower than the others, which makes sense of why he feels less important as he gets 700 less mentions than Nagato, and whilst Mikuru does get around 300 more mentions than Nagato, she pretty much completely wastes that screentime.

As a matter of fact seeing how much of the screentime Mikuru hogs makes me genuinely think how she actively drags the quality of the series down.
