Yeah I was referencing that. Like you think some suit would point out how dumping cash into a project and starting it without a finalised script is just needlessly risky and wasteful. You’re basically investing tons of money into animating something that might be total shit in substance. I imagine they animate action scenes first and then string that together with cheaper stuff, a lot of thrown together hollywood movies do the same. I genuinely wonder if daima was some sort of tax evasion thing, just a really bizarre thing to throw out with such high quality finish on it and then dump on a late night slot even though it’s clearly aimed at babies. I also saw that shueisha were looking into expanding their use of AI. Everything about the future of this series seems completely grim at the moment, I can’t believe there was JUST a new show out and the discussion is at a more stagnant point than it will have been during the gap between z and super (I assume anyway). What an absolutely sad trash fire
